• Ant’s earliest memory is sitting in the back garden playing with his toy cars.
• When Ant & Dec first met on the set of Byker Grove, they disliked each other. Dec thought Ant was ‘miserable’.
• When Ant was nine he jumped from his bedroom window hoping to make the tree outside, missed it and winded himself badly.
• Ant has an intense dislike of spiders, something that he has to confront regularly during his trips to the Australian jungle.
• Dec’s full name is Declan Joseph Oliver Donnelly, and he is the youngest of seven children.
• During filming for Alien Autopsy - Ant and Dec’s boiler suits only had two minutes of air. In between takes production staff would run over and open the hood in order to prevent the boys from suffocating!
• During the Byker Grove days, Ant’s on-screen mother was played by his actual real-life mum!
• Ant & Dec’s production company, Gallowgate, is named after the end in which they used to stand at Newcastle United.
