The Boys Are Back In Town!
April 8th, 2009Hands up who’s missed Ant & Dec on the telly every week? OK, so it’s not been that long since the end of Saturday Night Takeaway, but after a well earned break they’re back on our screens for the start of the third series of Britain’s Got Talent.
They return with the fantastic and truly unique talent show that gave the world Paul Potts and George Sampson and showcases the best, and worst, talent our great nation has to offer. Gulp. The only rule is… there are no rules! The show is open to performers of any age, from any background, with any talent. All they need is a skill that they think will impress not only the judges, but ultimately HRH The Queen as the winner gets to perform at this year’s Royal Variety Performance, as well as walking away with a life changing £100,000. That may sound simple but faced with TV’s original Mr. Nasty Simon Cowell, straight-talking Piers Morgan and the lovely Amanda Holden as judges, the contestants have to be poised to receive some pretty harsh criticism!
Ant and Dec have been waiting in the wings of the auditions, which have stretched the length and breadth of the UK to either congratulate the successful or console those who fail to impress, armed with their handy cameras to capture all the action for you here at officialantanddec.com, so keep checking back every week for new backstage videos and all your BGT news.
This Saturday all the hilarious action kicks off at 7.45pm on ITV but don’t forget to switch over to ITV2 for Britain’s Got More Talent with Stephen Mulhern on ITV2 at 9.15pm.
Enjoy your Easter Saturday night in!
