Spelbound win Britain’s Got Talent 2010!

After weeks of the best (and the worst!) talent in Britain strutting their stuff on our TV screens, gymnastic troupe Spelbound fought off the rest of the competition to become Britain’s Got Talent champions in Saturday night’s live final. The acrobatic group impressed all the judges and obviously pleased the public too, as they won the most votes to take the title. Dance duo Twist and Pulse came second and young drummer Kieran Gaffney won a deserved third place. All the acts did well on the night, winning lots of praise from Piers, Simon and Amanda, but Spelbound really pulled it out of the bag with their most daring routine yet.

Simon caused controversy by suggesting that wonder-dog Chandi had perhaps had enough of the spotlight and should retire, but owner Tina put him in his place, together with the booing live audience…! Singing accountant Christopher Stone really impressed the trio as he has become so much more confident since his first audition and they all predicted a big future for him in music. The same went for Liam McNally - the 14-year old from Manchester with the voice of an angel. He’d only had 24 hours to prepare for the final as his semi-final wasn’t until Friday, but he wowed the crowd nonetheless and was told by all the judges that the definitely had a huge career in singing ahead of him. Great-gran Janey Cutler got off to a shaky start in her rendition of ‘Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien (‘No Regrets’) but she pulled it together for the second half and really gave it her all, with Simon calling her a seriously ‘gutsy lady’.

Young boyband Connected and impressionist Paul Burling also did well, and dancer Tobias Meade performed an amazing routine, inspired by vampires and zombies. There was an awful lot of talent on the stage, and Ant and Dec did a great job of keeping the contestants’ spirits up as they nervously appealed to the public to vote for them. However, it was Spelbound’s night and with all the judges saying that they should open the Olympics when London hosts the event in 2012, it seems like they have a big, bright future ahead of them.

I picked out Spellbound as poptential winners from the first time that I saw them. They were as amazing in the auditions as they were in the final, a great act that fully deserved to win

Hey guys,on BGMT Dec had an idea to come over to Belfast, well I thought it was a brill idea coz i’ve menshiond to my friend that it would be a good idea if she went on and sang, she said she was thinking about it, so we’ve kinda got our hopes up now lol. My hole class have agreed to vote for her lol. We realy want BGT to come and we would get the chance to meet the both of use (hopefuly). And if we don’t then ill cry lol. All the best trying to convince the juges and who ever ealse you need to talk it over with. Good luck!xxxx

I loved this series of BGT. My sister and I are pleased that Spelbound won, they really do leave you spelbound. We also loved Twist and Pulse who were hilarious. I was also watching the final BGMT and I loved the idea Dec had of coming over to Belfast, it would be fantastic if you did (I think so anyway).

Hi Ant and Dec! i`m glad spellbound won! yay! they were amazing! i loved twist and pusle 2 they were cool and funny just like u 2 i loved ice, phil the guy who was amazing at impressions! wow! he could do everybody! i loved all the street dancers like fusion,and all of the dance acts i forgot their names! :-O lol they were all amazing epecially speelbound wow! love you guys!

Definately Spellbound should have won they were brilliant, thats who I voted althrough personally I think it was a very close final and there were another 7 acts who could have been worthy winners. I don’t think its the last we’ll hear from a lot of those finalists. Well done on a great job entertaining us all last week.

Yeah I think Spelbound deserved It..I mean they’re different and nothings ever won like that before! Also they deserve It after that threw that boy over the judges desk!! Talk about..OMG scary! Lol..they are really good!

I would have liked to have seen Paul Burling In the top three, since I think he was excellent on the final night and really gave his best performance..but..It was good to see him go all the way to the final!

Ant and Dec..you are the talent on that stage too (Well deserved BAFTA!) And also THE best presenters on T.V and my ultimate Idols!

Congratulations to Spelbound! They did an amazing routine in the final and deserved the top spot!…although I did want Paul Burling or Twist and Pulse to win All the acts did brilliantly! Ant and Dec you were awesome! Well done Ant on winning the donkey…and Dec on winning the chocolate faces! Im sad it’s all over though! ..I dont know where im going to get my Ant-and-Dec-fix now! Having you both on the telly every night was just such a treat!

It was a great final. All acts did their best and I couldn’t tell who would won. I was secretly hoping it would be spelbound or paul burling and my wish came true :))

I thought this was the best Britains Got Talent final ever. All the acts/contestants were worthy winners, it could have gone either way. I was pleased with the final result and Spellbound being the winners, they were absolutely breathtaking, so precise, and fantastic to watch, well done to all of them, and well done to the other finalists who didn’t make it, we still enjoyed seeing you, you were all great.
