Bouncers, Wigs and Danny Boy

May 26th, 2010

Well, can you believe it? We’re almost at the end of the auditions! Next week is the last of them but still the talent keeps coming. This week kicked off with the brilliant Michael and Michael, a father and son Michael Jackson tribute act in two of the best costumes we have seen this year! Young Michael was brilliant then Papa Michael surprised us all with his moves! They easily moonwalked their way into the next round.

Another act through to the next round was the singing doorman Neil Fullard. Neil arrived mob handed with 5 of his security guard mates in tow. Nobody dare say he wasn’t any good! Although to be fair to him he was good, even if it all got a little bit ‘Sopranos-like’ backstage!

You’d think we’d learned our lesson in the past on this show but we were shocked yet again this week as Corey Shaun became Beyonce. That was a performance to behold! We really didn’t see it coming as he rocked it in his £12 Primark boots (which seemed to catch Amanda’s eye!) Goodness only knows how that wig stayed on.

Fourteen year old Liam McNally’s rendition of Danny Boy put him through to the next round with more than a handful of tears shed in the audience. He was a lovely kid, really sweet and unassuming, not long now for us all to wait and see if he has made it to the live Semi Finals which start next Monday and continue every night. HOW EXCITING!

Hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine!

Dear Ant&Dec,, After watching the show of Britain’s got talent 2010, I would really like to ask if it was possible to think about using a different city for auditions, like Southampton… could you concider Bournemouth. I really admire both of your talent together, your a great team. would love a signed photo if possible… keep up the great work. looking forward to the return of push the button.. love to you both, Debbie Press. xxx

Hi Ant,

Nothing to do with BGT, but I am enjoying yours and Dec’s autobiography at the moment, and I have an answer for you. “This Guy’s In Love With You” by Sacha Distel, is on the album “Nice ‘n’ Easy”. Think you can buy it on the net.

Neil convinced me. I love the song, and he sang it brilliantly! He could be huge if he got himself a tux and a good band! Many good singers, but Neil’s my favorite.

Paula from Essex says:

I hated the Beyoncé act.

He was very energetic and fast, alright, but I think the choreography was a bit too big a bite for a dancer of his level. The movements were a bit inadequate.

I think the lack of dance school is clearly visible in his way of performing.
This particular dancer ain’t that good and dance school might have helped. But that’s just my opinion!

You two (& Simon) make the show worth watching, a big THANK YOU for that! xx
