Well, what about that little lot eh!? Did you guess? Were you expecting any of them? Is there anyone not there that you were expecting? We think it’s a really good line up this year and boy are there a few little surprises in store for them along the way! We’ve been here since last weekend and we’ve been getting ourselves familiar with how the series is going to run this year. The camp has been inhabited over the last few days by a group of stand -in contestants (a bunch of Aussies) we’ve done our rehearsal ‘dry run’ show, and we begin filming pieces today (Friday). We can’t wait to get going properly and get stuck into the show, it’s going to be fun, fun, fun!
It hasn’t been all work, work, work out here, as you would expect. There has been a little leisure time and an opportunity for a cheeky 18 holes of golf. On our first round Down Under, we were paired up with a couple of old Australian fellas called Gary and Phil, who didn’t have a clue who we were or what IACGMOOH was! They threw down a golfing challenge to us, England Vs Australia, which we duly accepted; after all what did we have to fear from Phil, a portly 55 year-old and Gary, a 66 year-old, retired businessman? Every time they hit a bad shot there were cries of “Argh! You bloody mongrel!” or “No! You drongo!” We didn’t know people actually spoke like that outside of Summer Bay and Ramsay street! This was going to be a walk in the park. We took them head on and gave it everything we had. We lost. Miserably. They kicked our asses and showed us a thing or two on the red hot fairways of New South Wales! It was our round when we got back to the clubhouse, they said it was revenge for England winning the Ashes, as the supped the ice cold beers we had to buy them!
