A Great Start to the Season!

August 24th, 2009

Finally the start of the new football season is well and truly underway, and Newcastle have got off to a cracking start! So far we’ve had a draw away and THREE wins - so fingers crossed this could be our best start for a good few years! We might even break into the top four this season!

We’re hoping the takeover of Newcastle will go through, they’ll install Alan Shearer as manager, and the good start to the season will continue.  Now just to get Shearer off TV and into the dugout!

X Factor Is finally here and we’re excited to have it back on the telly along with Strictly Come Dancing. There’s not been much on the box to get us excited this summer but with Phillip Schofield’s new show The Cube, along with X Factor, it looks like things are really shaping up again on Saturday nights on ITV!

We’ve been spending some quality time on the golf course and we managed to capture some of the highlights (and celebrations!) on camera, so stayed tuned for some rather amusing videos on the way…

The Cube looks good..although The X Factor doesn’t really interest me anymore..i prefer Britain’s Got Talent..haha..but it seems they’ve now changed X Factor slightly and made it similar to BGT with the whole audience thing..for me..Saturday nights on ITV are only worth watching when you’re on though :D

Ooh..glad you’ve been enjoying yourselves and can’t wait to see those videos :D

The choc challenges have been great..really entertaining and hilarious..really want Dec to win though..sorry Ant..

I really can’t wait for the autobiography now and can’t wait to see you back on our screens..

NUFC has started off brilliantly this season, im so psyched!

I’m from canada where football isn’t a big deal at all. I flew myself across the atlantic at the beginning of the summer and finally got my hands on a Newcastle jersey. It was wicked. The only part that seriously sucks is that I can never see the games live. They aren’t broadcast on the TV even after they happen, so it’s a glitchy internet live-cam that I can sometimes follow along on. It sucks but at least I get to watch sometimes. :)

Newcastle rocks.

As much as I love your blogs, this one hasn’t got much information in it. I mean I’m glad newcastle are off to a good start in the footy and I’m real happy that you have been having fun playing golf, but what about these book signings any idea when and where they are going to be. Not that I’m impatient or anything but I really need to know lol.

Anyway can’t wait for the new videos of your golfing highlights and hopefully there will be another Q and A very soon. Also some old videos would be good like Captain Justice from smtv:live.

Howay the Toon!!! Toon Toon black and white army, Toon Toon black and white army… It’s been a great run so far hope it keeps going. Top of the table. YES!!!:) It’s hard for us Toon supporters to watch over here in US but I have many Toon fans from UK who keep me up to date and post me on all the scores, some of them give me minute by minute updates really exciting I love it!!!(Got to love those guys!) Team seems to be playing really well for now. Wish Ashley would sell to Moat or the US group that had been interested in buying it and that’s all I’ll say on that…would like to say more but I’ll bite my tongue on that subject.(ouch) Would really be nice to see Shearer as new manager keeping fingers crossed on that one. Oh and I’m in 6th place on the fantasy football league not bad for a girl. lol Can’t wait for Saturdays game. Hoping NO more transfers before window closes. And sell the team Ashley you n##!!!!!! Oh and guys, get this. We had a relief teacher from England, Birmingham to be exact. He’s lived in Australia for 13 months and I go “Do you like Ant and Dec?” and he goes “I hate them, grew up with them throughout the 80’s, very annoying” and I couldn’t believe it! Then I asked what soccer (football) team he goes for (like Newcastle and that) and he goes “football is for chavs” and we’re like “what are chavs?” and he’s like “the English equivalent of a bogan”!

Grr, made me angry. :(
