The last of the auditions

So that's it! The auditions are over! The judges have chose the final 40... it's time for the LIVE semi-finals!! Are your favourites there? Have the judges made any mistakes? Let us know whether you think they have made they made the right decisions or not... But, what a final set of last auditions we had! There were the Barrow Boys, who got two buzzers and then had them both removed, which is the first time that has ever happened! We had Julia Naidenko the belly dancer who had about ten yes's, and two more from us! 

We had 'Nick Hell', who was Hell by name and Hell by nature - let's just say Dec didn't warm to him , he couldn't actually watch that one from the side of the stage; made him a bit queasy, but he definitely gave us something very different. Kieran Gaffney, the 12 year old drummer, (who looked liked like a young Adrian Chiles! Don't you think!?) was brilliant. He's only been drumming for one year but he was absolutely amazing. There was Fred Bowers, the 73 year old break-dancer.

When he told us what he did, we didn't know what he was going to break...his hips or his leg! He got three yes's but did have to have a little sit down afterwards to get his breath back! And how could we forget Martin Matcham, the guitarist with a fancy pants light up guitar and the mother in law from Hell who put Simon firmly in his place. All of those guys, among others, made the last audition show the best one yet. Now though it starts to get serious. We go into the live semi-finals and we couldn't be more excited. You already know that we love live television, and every night we're going to get swept up in Britain's Got Talent fever! The first live semi- final is going to be an absolute corker; here's the line up Diversity Sue Son Darth Jackson Natalie Okri Julia Naidenko Nick Hell Faces of Disco Susan Boyle Which two will go through? It's hard to say. We'll be giving you all the gossip from behind the scenes during this semi-final week so keep checking back for updates. Also, we hope you all like the chocolate challenges, keep all your challenges coming in and we'll give them a bash, we had a right laugh doing them and we cannot wait to show you the next one...just wait!

    I was SHOCKED that Aiden Davis, the little breakdancer didn't make it! I guess they didn't want another George Sampson. And what about Hollie Steel? She was amazing too. Oh, and Nick Hell? I agree with you Dec, he was gross. Anyways, I love you two. You guys are so funny and cute, and always make me laugh during every act.

  • Not crazy about some of the acts that went through, I don't get it - is it judged purely on talent or to make the show entertaining? if its the second one, then all the acts lived up to that! Faces of disco should have done the entire 'lets get ready to rhumble' routine instead of multiple Simon Cowells...would have loved that!!! Great presenting as usual Ant and Dec! Keep up the great work.

  • I love the show BGT is awesome! And it is for the people who host this show like Ant and Dec, I just started watching the show this year and got stuck with Ant & Dec, they are beautiful, talented, funny, and just love them. Please keep posting more updates about the show.

  • I'm really cross that the little boy who was so good at drumming did not get through to the semi finals;
    How can the judges justify putting that disgusting IDIOT through that were putting things through his nose and ears... It was DISCGUSTING, and in my opinion just wasted a place as it was obvious that they would not represent the people at the Royal Variety. Can you imagine letting the Queen watch that disgusting act?
    Shame on you judges!!

  • i love watching the live semi finals of BGT you two completely come alive, i mean u were hilarious during the auditions, but ur just magic during live shows. loved it when dec pulled u onto the chair like a ventriloquists dummy ant, was funny as! n talking about ant dressing up in his wife's clothes as well. briliant. You're just awesome. i love the choc challenges and was funny to watch u on Britains got more talent. stephen is almost as funny as you two. xxx

  • I am a bit dissapointed that the little drummer didn't go through. I realize that just a drum-act is unlikely to win, but he was marginally better than some of the acts that have gone through. Of course, I understand that there need to be some of those weird, stupid, but entertaining acts that everyone only votes for because it's so stupid (ex: darth vader).
    Besides the little drummer I already predicted most of those acts so there was no real surprise... Anyway I look forward to more acts in the semi-finals.

    About the last auditions:

    Just LOVED Kieran - so talented, sweet and polite! I really think he was robbed though - he should've been put through!!!

    Also loved Fred!! Can't believe that he goes clubbing 7 nights a week!!! xD I can't even manage once a month.. guess I'm getting old. He reminded me why I love working with elderly people - they've got so much soul, like Amanda said.

    Julia was really hot! I don't mind saying that even though I'm a girl myself. BTW how long did it take for the cleaners to mop up all that drool you two, Piers & Simon left behind? :P Oh yeah... almost forgot: Dec - you looked like a Duracell bunny when you tried to bellydance *LOL*

    About the 1.Semi: Just watched it on youtube... (I HATE living in Finland 'cos I can't see BGT live!!) The show was fabulous & you guys looked fabulous.
    Ant - don't mind Simon, your hair looks lovely! And what's with Simon anyway?? He obviously thinks it ok to say nasty comments about people as
