Suits You!

May 16th, 2009

So, we’re edging closer to the live semi-finals and STILL the talent keeps coming! This week gave us little Natalie, the little singer who is possibly the cutest kid we’ve had on the show. She gave us both big hugs, sang a fantastic number and managed to charm the socks off the judges - and probably charmed the socks off you all watching at home too! She was really excited to meet us on the day and was so nervous that her little teeth were still chattering after the audition, bless her. Such a big voice for such a little girl, we have to admit that we melted a bit when we met her and really hope she goes through to the semi finals.

Another impressive kid was 11 year-old Aidan Davis, an amazing dancer who’s already being dubbed as the new George Sampson, if not better.  We loved the fact he had his own distinctive look going on with his skinny jeans, flat cap and checkered scarf - he’s a little dude!  A very good mover too and he has the potential to do really well in the competition - could it be two years in a row that a young male dancer wins the series? Who knows…

This week’s granddaughter and granddad singing duo Two Grand came on and sang the Disney song A Whole New World which is the one Peter Andre and Jordan did. We hope that’s where the similarity ends; we don’t want Two Grand splitting up just yet. It was a touching story as granddad revealed that his wife died only a year ago and how he still misses her - it even got Ant welling up from the side of the stage. It was a lovely performance that went down really well with the judges and the audience in the theatre. Well done Two Grand!

But our favourite moment this week had to be the return of our old pal Brenda Isaacs. She auditioned unsuccessfully last year after a mix up with her CD track listing, thanks to her boyfriend Roy. Roy had been dragged along to the audition this year and told us he had nothing to do with the preparations this time round. Because of that the track listing worked perfectly but unfortunately the singing didn’t.  She assured us that she’ll be back again next year though, but she’s going to knock the singing on the head and try pole-dancing instead! I think you’ll agree that’s something for us all to look forward to!

We made it back from Newcastle and the football (hope you liked the vid) and have been fitted for new suits this week, getting our outfits together for the live semi’s. We’ve been trying on new shirts and ties and shoes, we’ve been like a couple of excitable girls, it’s all “Ooh, what are you wearing for show one!?” and “Ooh, how about show two!?” We’ll calm down soon I promise!

Brace yourselves for next week when the final 40 will be revealed! Can’t wait!

Kat Chapman says:

I would like to write to Kieren too. I wonder if he knows how many fans he has out here in youtube land. I could not believe they didn’t pass him through. Probably the judges viewed him as a one-trick pony, but in the end it is audience support that brings them through, and that sweet, polite and infectiously joyous drummer deserved at least another round or two. He is a very talented young man. You can see he played with a level of ease and competency that you just don’t usually find after one year of playing drums.

Kat says:

I wonder if you guys know how to write to Kieran Gaffney. I think he should come back next year like George did. He was just so awesome and infectious… after one year of playing!

Tiago Gabriel says:

Stop Joking! Do not forget the small Shaheen and the Street Dancer Flawless, remember that the boy was surprising to Who’s loving you Flawless and had a flawless presentation in the first episode, however, were overshadowed by the instant success of Su-Bo.

Let me know a little upset that Amanda and Piers managed to put in the Semi-Finals Darth Jackson - Michael Jackson / Darth Vader (no one deserves) and leave out that “little remarkable battery of” revelation in the seventh episode, or other groups Dance of presentations that made as good as those of Diversity and Flawless, even with Simon Cowell being defeated. I hope that the public chooses to enforce the sense of Simon, is that Amanda and Piers sometimes want to look so different seen a sort of “talent” which is not or even want to be “nice” to others just leaving out talent that could really grow during the Semi-Finals and leave the competition more interesting!

Linda says:

I think we should blog away on this site for Kieran Gaffney the 12yr. old drummer who was Brilliant!!! I am very passioniate about this I just can not believe Darth (Idiot) Vader makes it thru and not him. Write away maybe we can change the judges minds it wouldn’t be the first time they have changed their minds. I can’t be the only one that feels this way. Come on let’s get him in the finals. Write away.

Keep the letters coming for him

Go Kieran love ya

Linda-Casa Grande, Az.

Linda says:

Sorry can’t even say hi cause I’m so disappointed about Kieran Gaffney not making it in the top 40. Such a wonderful young man and so polite, says alot about his parents. He was just great! How is it possible that an idiot like Darth Vador makes it through and not Kieran. I really love this show but wow were the judges tired or something. I’m almost speechless at this point. Had to spell check this letter five times before I sent it I was so upset. Still love you two-but those judges(whatever)can’t really say what I want. Sorry I just couldn’t wait for the week 7 blog will probably post again when I’m not so freaking upset. Shame,Shame,Shame!!!

Still adoring you Ant and Dec(sorry no love right now)

Linda-Casa Grande,Az.

Fred says:

Natalie was incredibly cute. Does she have a website?

Classic says:

Natalie was amazing. You can’t help but adore her. Still I think Susan and Flawless are by far the best.

Have a great time at the next show Ant and Dec.

Tiago Gabriel says:

I am following the third season of BGT in Brazil, and not wait to see who can go to the semi final of the program!

But of course, my fans is by Shaheen and Flawless!

Good luck to them!

Note:
“we’ve been like a couple of excitable girls”

Stop joking! you (Ant and Dec) are known or are only getting? (laughs!)

Hugs, you are too!

Kayleigh says:

Hi.. :)
Great show again!
Aidan and Natalie were both brilliant..having talents like that at their age makes it even more amazing. I can’t believe that Aiden taught himself those moves! It was so cute when Natalie hugged you both..I’d love a hug from you too <3.

Two Grand were good and like Amanda i didn’t expect them to sing like that especially the granddaughter. Your reactions to what Brenda said about pole-dancing has got to be my fave moment too. I’d definately prefer to see your Fish ‘n’ Chips while dancing act than flower arranging. I guessed what way round it would be and i was right as i know that Ant- You love your food lol and Dec- You’re an great dancer :). Speaking off dancing, when the Irish Dancer come on stage I was waiting for Dec to join in cus i know you can Irish Dance but then Ant started to instead lol.

Ooh, new suits..you’ll both look great for the live shows then lol..you always do. Talking about getting your suits fitted has reminded me of the time you were interviewed by Little Ant & Dec. When they asked you why you get your suits made for you, “Are you a funny shape?” lol.

I can’t wait to see who’s made the final 40..there have been so many great acts this year and can’t wait for the live shows either.

Love You Both..
xXx

Saturdays show was amazing. Natalie was fantastic. I loved her. I admit I melted too lol. She was so cute and had such an amazing voice for her age.
Aidan was great too. He was like a cheeky chap lol. He was a great dancer and only 11. And he choreographed it himself which is amazing. loved these two. cant wait to see who goes through

em and rach says:

hey guys the shows gr8 loving britains got talent you 2 are so funny lol and my best mate thinks u 2 are gorgeous and i do to lots of love em and rach

Heather says:

i tought saturdayds show was good :)
the geeky dude on bgmt LOOOOOOOOL
i thought he was kinda cute tho…i wanted to give him a hug to be honest :P

and i think George is better than Aidan as Aidan can only do 1 style of dance. like yer he’s awsomeee at popping and locking but he didnt really do any break dancing or anything and George can do like all styles of street dance really
but i still cant belive Aidan learnt all that stuff by himself! must of took loaads of practice
and i was wearing skinny jeans and a black n white checkerd scarf the other day…does that mean i’m a dudette? lol :)

Linda says:

Hi guys, wanted to let you know the show was great this week. I was having the worst 2 days that I can remember in a long time it was my fathers birthday and he is no longer here to celebrate-but just couldn’t stop crying for 2 days and then I thought it’s Saturday nite lets watch the new episodes of BGT soooo glad I did. What talent! Natalie was just adorable and boy can she belt out a tune. Aiden what a great little dancer. The Two Grand hit home with me and was probably one of the most moving acts how great were they and of course last but the most memorable was Brenda-how funny was she I laughed so hard I was crying but a good crying-I had to go back and watch again just to see your reactions to the one liner (pole dancing) I’ve never seen you two laugh so hard I’m glad to see I wasn’t the only one in hysterics. I think you guys are great and I definitely needed to smile–so thanks. I also think it’s great you tell the kids to have fun before they go on stage, cause it’s all about that. Great job! I just adore you two. Best of luck with the finals! Linda–Casa Grande,Az.

Livstar says:

lol. your not as mad as girls when it comes to getting ready. honest. well… not quite. the longer you give a girl to get ready, the madder she goes. Thats what me n my mates did for prom! Missed BGT this week because of eurovision. wud’ve watched the repeat but i forgot n watched a movie instead. sorry!

Julie says:

BGT doesn’t ‘alf ruin itself. We know what, about 20-odd acts. If not more, who are in the semi-final’s already. Having them on TV programmes such as GMTV, This Morning, even worldwide shows, is THE biggest giveaway ever. Very boring also. As for yesterday’s episode, dull. No one good. That wannabe-George was repetitive (a bit like George also); that little girl singer was incredibly annoying; the grandfather and granddaughter act, I had to switch over… Everyone else has slipped my mind. Which is a shame. Going downhill for me, I’m afraid to say :-( But the two of you are still entertaining, more so on BGMT, it’s nice we see your personalities and warmth on screen. You can’t fault that :-)

Carrie says:

All the family love yaz keep up the great work lads, love yaz xxx

AbbylovesDecDonnelly xx says:

well another great insight to another blog, loved the show last night, we all really enjoyed it -
I bet you will look great in your new suits , can’t wait for the live shows, for us they are the best part of BGT!!
LOVE YOU BOTH lots from Abby xx and Chrissie xx

Sanna - Finland says:

To be honest, I was a bit disappointed with this weeks show. It was ok, but there was no “wow factor” this time round.

But there were a few interesting acts… What a palaver for example :D I was somewhat surprised to see those guys perform ‘cos their act was pretty much the same as the one I was talking about in my last comment. Only difference was that the swedish guys were young and fit whereas your guys… well… weren’t! But still good fun! Did you enjoy the view lads??? ;)

Floral highnotes - pointless if you ask me. I’d prefer your version, fish ‘n’ chips & dancing. What’s the name of your act? Fishy Limbo?
For some reason I wasn’t surprised when Ant said he’d be the one eating and Dec dancing. ;)

Neil Horan, the Irish dancer… He’s the same crazy guy who ran in front of the cars at the F1 Silverstone Grand Prix in 2003. He’s absolutely bonkers! And the judges put him through… BIG mistake!!

Now, I had two favorites on the show tonight. The first was Eugene the librarian (saw him on BGMT). Is he for real?!?! :D In any case, he was FUNNY! “I’ve always been a magnet for the ladies…” Sure you have, love *LOL*

The second was, of course, Brenda the dinner lady!! :P Her singing was rubbish!! I think she should try to be a stand up comedian. She had some good material ;) And I can’t wait for next year: “Welcome to Britain’s got talent! The next act is Brenda, the dinner lady, pole-dancing!!” There’s an image you won’t be able to forget any time soon…

luv ya lads!! -Sanna-

PS. Ant - you looked really good in the footie vid with that stubble. Ooh, suits you, sir ;) And what pretty eyes you’ve got.. long lashes and everything :D Awww…

PPS. Dec, you’re still my number one ;) *kisskiss*

Becky..x says:

I’m so excited about the live shows. I really cant wait. Stavros is amazing and go go go harmony woop woop!! Demi and megan are “wicked” lol
See you soon and i bet your suits are great for the live shows. Make semi final 1 a special suit please ;)

Ellie says:

Hey Ant and Dec,
I’m writing (typing) all the way from South Australia, on a Sunday morning, just to say that last nights show was brilliant! Well, I had to watch it on the net, but it was good.

I have a question for you:
Who cries more, Ant or Dec?

Thanks.
Ellie, 13, S.A

T.T says:

Another fantastic show. Even though Aiden is fantastic, I doubt that he will go far in the competition because a dancer winner 2 years in a row = too much and I prefer George Sampson :)
Anyways, can’t wait for the live shows !

Amber says:

This weeks show was brilliant, I couldn’t believe such an amazing voice was coming out of such a little person when Natalie sang and you two were hilarious!! My favourite bit this week was piers’ air guitar with air-O-smith, I watch the show with my family and we were all in stitches I almost fell off my chair it was so funny!!! Love you two!!!!
Amber

nurcan says:

Can’t wait to see Brenda’s pole dance :)
BTW I couldn’t get any information for live semi-finals
Where do they take place? London- where?HMV Apollo?

Two naked men were really disgusting can’t see why judges said yes??? oghghgg!! I don’t think the Queen wants to shake hands:S Do you? :)

I admire the dance act kind of “stop the war”feat.Michael Jackson’s song.
Why don’t you choose an outfit like theirs?

Loz says:

*hic* sounds like a good show! Will promise to watch it tomorrow, been eurovisioning it up- will watch your camp musical comedy tomorrow =D
